Business Advisory Board Service
Nature Coast Enterprise has developed a unique business development initiative that will see advisory boards advising local businesses. Each board will be tailored to the needs of each business and offer advice and fresh strategic thinking.
This scheme targets those businesses that are going to stand still if they do not step-up to the next level. Many businesses often do not know what to do next in their development and generally need expert advice on how to go about it. Employing an advisory board for a fixed period of time is one simple strategy to help business growth.
There is an expectation that businesses who apply for the services of an advisory board, that they are serious in their intent to grow and prosper in the Nature Coast region. There must be a clear vision, an operative business plan and financials for the last three years for the advisory board members to review.
How does the service work?
Interested businesses are encouraged to apply to Nature Coast Enterprise who will discuss the criteria with them. Upon acceptance, a fee is payable and a board and chairperson will be chosen to work directly with the business. It is anticipated that between two and six meetings will be formally run by each advisory board for each business. It is important to remember that the advisory board will not serve the function of a governance board and will not have fiduciary responsibilities, nor will they have any operational functions. Businesses and advisors can be assured of complete confidentially.
Nature Coast Enterprise is confident this initiative will not only help local business, but in-turn help economic growth of the wider region by retaining businesses and potentially attracting new ones as it is not only lifestyle business that succeeds on the Nature Coast.
How much does the service cost?
Client fees are based on the number of members of the advisory board assigned to the project. All fees quoted are inclusive of GST.
THREE member advisory board - initial meeting $1,500 and subsequent meetings $1,100
FOUR member advisory board - initial meeting $1.800 and subsequent meetings $1,400
This initiative is innovative and designed to help Kapiti and Horowhenua businesses to grow and be more successful on the local, national and world stage. The business model is consistent with Nature Coast Enterprise's philosophy of business excellence and business driving business.
