When you're teeing-off on a Wellington golf course and it's blowing a gale and spitting more than a drop, spare a little thought for the Levin Moutere Links Golf Club. This rural golf club offers an excellent course amongst panoramic beauty, a chilled beer and a bloody good yarn. The club earned a place in New Zealand's ‘Top 50' rated courses thanks to the sandy loam playing surface which drains well; then there's the lush, tree-lined fairways and meticulously manicured greens. Players can challenge the 6,200 metre ‘blue tee' course or settle for the shorter ladies' ‘yellow tees' or men's ‘white tees.'  But it's the atmosphere which is the reason why more and more members are joining.
