Andrew Hoggard is an Executive Member of the National Dairy Industry Group and is currently one year into being both the Provincial President and the National Vice Chairman of the Dairy Industry Group of Federated Farmers. Over the years he has been involved with Young Farmers and was District Chairman in 2004 and Regional Chairman in 2005. He has successfully competed for and won District and Regional Young Farmer of the Year events.

Andrew is married to Audra and they have two young daughters (Payton, 6 months and Michaela, 2 and a half). He was born and bred on the old family farm north of Upper Hutt and attended Massey University and gained a Degree in Applied Economics majoring in Agricultural Economics. Andrew has farmed in Northern Canada after University, has share milked on his old family farm and then relocated his family to the Manawatu in 1998. Andrew is currently Part-Owner and Manager of the farm milking 560 cows on 211 effective hectares.
