Maori Trustee Training


Maori Trustee Training is a governance programme offered to the trustees, potential trustees and managers of Maori trusts and other Maori organisations managing Maori assets under multiple ownership.  The programme is made up of eight topics developed by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise as a national curriculum, including:

  • 1. Trustees roles and responsibilities
  • 2. Long term strategy and planning
  • 3. Operational and business planning
  • 4. Management performance evaluation
  • 5. Risk and risk management
  • 6. Quality control systems
  • 7. Self monitoring and review
  • 8. Understanding financial services.

 

The programme is delivered by specialist training providers throughout New Zealand and includes one-on-one assessments, group training workshops and follow-up coaching.
