Quarterly Economic Update September 2011
It is the third of four quarterly updates for 2011 that show changes in the economy of the Nature Coast area and its two component districts Horowhenua and Kapiti Coast. In addition to summarising the more recent national context, the report includes data up to and including June 2011 that examines four aspects of the local economy.
BERL Economic Profile of Nature Coast 2009
This report was commissioned by Nature Coast Enterprise. It examines the performance of the Nature Coast economy across a range of indicators over the short term (one year), medium term (two years) and long term (10 years). It also looks more closely at which industries are particularly highly concentrated in the area, and at three key sectors: tourism, manufacturing and primary.
Characteristics of the Nature Coast Labour Force
This report was prepared by BERL for Nature Coast Enterprise, which represents the combined area of the Kapiti Coast and Horowhenua Districts. The report considers the characteristics of the Nature Coast work force – both people working on the Nature Coast who live locally or commute to work in the area; and Nature Coast residents working in the area or beyond. It compares these characteristics with those of Wellington Urban, made up of the four cities in the Wellington Region – Wellington, Porirua, Lower Hutt, and Upper Hutt, and New Zealand.
