Paraparaumu Airport Ltd

Noel Robinson is working to turn Paraparaumu Airport into a "really vibrant, sub-regional airport," which he says will  have huge benefits for the region's tourist industry. He's a representative of Paraparaumu Airport Holding Ltd. which bought the airport several years ago, and is now well down the track with an upgrade that will hopefully see Air New Zealand bring in flights from around the country.

The development plans include improving the airport facilities and environment, with features like retail outlets and sand dunes along the boundary with Kapiti Road. The new terminal won't just be about planes, it will be for the community to use, says Airport Manager AJ Wackrow, who works out of what surely must be one of the best offices around - the old control tower with views out to Kapiti Island.
